Post-genocide Rwanda Review Qustions

In what way did the genocide impact the development of this "developing" country?
Genocide impacted the development of the country by letting it not develop. The country shattered into pieces when it happened. At the end the country was totally demolished both physically and economically.

Where does the rebuilding of a country shatter by genocide begin? What can the people do? What can the government do ? What can the international community do?
The rebuilding started 1994 for Rwanda but for any country would be after genocide. The people can only try to survive, flee to refugee camps to live. The government, probably provide supplies for the refugee camps to help the people that live there. The international community can help get the supplies to the government.

How can justice be found in post-genocide Rwanda?
The government can run trails for those who have committed mass killings and those who were the "master mind" of the whole operation. Which is actually what the government did and is still doing because Rwandas government is not totally functioning the way one government does.

Which can bring justice to the people of Rwanda more effectively – international courts or community courts? Explain.
According to the packet, in a system of justice called Gacaca made the people the lawyers and witnesses and the trial was held in the place of the crime. The trails where fairly quick and the punishment was more light than any other court. So, the international courts would be more effective because they run a good trail with professionals, and actual lawyers. The punishment would fit the crime, serving more justice to Rwanda.
