China Writing Prompt

“U.S. relation with China is a necessary evil.”

China has changed drastically in the 20th century, from one type of government to the next. Many protests had taken place during the late 1900s against communism, fighting for democracy. The protests were lead by students from different collages, fighting for the benefit of the country of China. Communism has spread all across China creating it difficult for many of the people to live because they were against it. The U.S. is a democratic country, which is exactly what the students of China were fighting for. With the U.S. having relations with China has been a necessary evil because of the risk of communism spreading.
The United States relies heavily on exports from China. In order to keep this trade to continue the U.S. and China need to have some kind of relation between each other. In 2010, America’s import rates from China reached $364.9 billion. America receives mostly imports of entertainment from China, such as video games board games, and other family fun. America would be a much different culture if it didn’t have the many things that came from China. In order to maintain the imports from China, the U.S. must have relations with China.
China is a communist country and the United States are a democratic country. It is very possible that if the U.S. was enemies with China that communism could forcefully spread to the U.S. Because of this big risk the relation between China and the U.S. is a choice in order to protect those within the U.S. The students that protested against communism, fought for democracy for the benefit of the country. They began a hunger strike to show that the were serious about the fight for democracy. But about a week after the hunger strike began, Deng Ziaoping, the leader of china, commanded open fire on the protesters. They started from all directions, making their way to Tiananmen Square, the location of the students protesting. They were ordered to take out any sing of protesting. When they reached Tiananmen Square, the student leaders met the Kernel of the troops. They asked that if they left in a certain amount of hours their lives would be spared. They Kernel agreed and the students left. Deng Ziaoping had won against the protesters. Because of the relations with China the U.S. has not been massacred for being for democracy. The relations with China are a necessary evil because of this very reason.
Relation between China and America are a necessary evil. If America did not have the relations they have now, their culture would be very different, because most of the imports are from China. Relations may also be stopping a possible attack against America, since they are democratic. China has moved a lot during the past century, but the relations between America have not changed. America and China would be very different countries today without the relations between each other.
